Cool the Earth is a fun and upbeat program that turns the challenges of climate change into a positive, take-action movement. By empowering kids with the knowledge and tools to take action in their own homes, Cool the Earth imparts the next generation with lifelong skills to use at home, in their communities and beyond. 1. For Our Children's Future

As parents, we all want our children to grow up with lives equal or better than our own. This starts with maintaining a climate that provides abundant, fresh water, an environment which can sustain agriculture and weather conditions which are normal--not extreme. This is our planet, but it's also the planet our children will inherit, and it's in everyone's interest to preserve it.

2. Little Effort, Big Return

We've already done lots of the work for you. It doesn't take someone with an environmental background to run this program; anyone can do it. We provide all the materials and resources necessary for parent and teacher coordinators to run the program very easily. It takes less than a handful of hours a month of your time to operate, yet it will have an immediate environmental impact with tangible results that all can see!

3. Real Change Starts with Kids

Developed for kids in grades K-8, Cool the Earth is reaching children at a time when they are the most open developmentally to assimilating new ideas. By introducing them to the concepts of climate change and the positive messages of energy conservation, you are helping to create positive environmental habits early, and to develop an awareness that will continue for rest of their lives.

4. It's a Proven Model

Children have already been proven catalysts for social change. In the same way that kids brought home the "Don't Smoke" and "Recycle" campaigns to their parents, Cool The Earth is bringing home the positive message of "energy conservation" for the whole family to take to heart. In our first year in just 25 schools, the program successfully motivated over 6,000 families to take 10,000 positive actions!
