Simple Ways to Save Energy

Volunteer Time = 20 minutes/2-4x per month

The cornerstone of the program is the Action Coupon booklet given to every student to take home the day of the assembly. These coupons contain simple, energy-saving actions kids and families can take to help fight global warming. Coupons show how many pounds of carbon are reduced by each action taken.

Engaging Students and Families

After taking an action, families fill out the corresponding coupon and return it to school where they receive Cool the Earth trading cards. These environmentally-friendly incentives can be collected, traded, and displayed in the coupon holder as a reminder of the student’s participation in Cool the Earth.
